Hyderabad, April 16: The India Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave orange alert for several districts as temperatures rise sharply across Telangana.
Authorities said temperatures will increase over the next two days. As a result, multiple districts are likely to face severe heat conditions.
The orange alert covers joint Adilabad, Khammam, and Mahabubnagar regions. It also includes Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Medchal Malkajgiri, and Hyderabad.

The department said maximum temperatures may rise by one to two degrees in the next three days. In many areas, temperatures are expected between 41°C and 44°C.
Officials also warned of possible heatwave conditions in several districts. Therefore, residents have been advised to remain cautious.
Moreover, the impact is likely to intensify in Adilabad, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, Jogulamba, and Gadwal districts.
Authorities urged people to avoid going out during afternoon hours unless necessary. Meanwhile, medical experts advised frequent hydration to prevent dehydration.
The warning comes as Telangana continues to experience unusually high temperatures this season.
