KCR ruled out talk of early poll
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has ruled out the possibility of early election to the state Assembly, contrary to speculations.
Scotching speculation over an early poll, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao said the election will be held as scheduled in 2019 when the term of the present Assembly ends adding there was no need for his government to go for a snap poll or early election.
He maintained that as long as the government worked sincerely for the larger good of the people,”they will bless us”.
Mr.Rao made these observations in the Legislative Council yesterday while replying to the marathon debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address to the joint sitting of both the Houses of the state Legislature (Assembly and Council) on the opening day of the ongoing budget session.
There had been hectic speculation in the recent past that the government may go for an early election with the TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy charging that the TRS government appeared to opt for mid-term pollgoing by the concessions offered to different sections of the people in the state annual budget for 2017-18.
