Chennai/Hyderabad, May 8 (Maxim News): Tamil Nadu Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar’s residence, Lok Bhavan, was protested by the TVK party. Angry that the Governor did not allow TVK to form the government despite it emerging as the single largest party in the assembly elections, the party workers staged a protest in front of Lok Bhavan on Friday. The alert police reached the spot and removed the TVK fans and workers from there. On the other hand, the Left parties and the Congress party also called for protests against the Governor’s behavior.
Meanwhile, TVK, despite emerging as the single largest party in this election, did not get the magic figure (118 seats) required to form the government. TVK, which won 107 seats on its own, needs the support of 11 more MLAs to form the government. In this context, TVK is making efforts to get the support of other parties. (Maxim News)
