Kolkata/Hyderabad, May 8 (Maxim News): West Bengal Governor RN Ravi dissolved the West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Thursday. This means that Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee is no longer the Chief Minister. Since she did not win anywhere in the recent elections, at least she is not an MLA. The Governor said in a statement that the dissolution of the Legislative Assembly has been implemented from May 7 as per Clause 2 of Article 172 of the Constitution of India. Although the Bengal government has been dissolved.. Mamata Banerjee has taken the title of Chief Minister on her social media account.
It is known that Didi Bhishma recently said that she would not resign from the post of CM. Mamata Banerjee’s official X account profile still states that she is the Founder Chairperson of All India Trinamool Congress, Honorable Chief Minister, West Bengal. The Governor dissolved the state assembly after Mamata Banerjee sat down and said that the BJP had won this election illegally and unethically through EVM tampering and vote-rigging, and that she would not step down until justice was served.(Maxim News)
