Hyderabad, May 15 (Maxim News): GHMC Commissioner and Principal Census Officer R.V. Karnan inspected the ongoing Census House Listing Operation in Shamshabad on Friday and directed officials to complete the process by June 9, 2026.
The inspection covered Enumeration Block Numbers 83 and 94 in Shamshabad. Additional Commissioner (Election) and Zonal Commissioner Kum. Chandrakala, along with Deputy Commissioner Shamshabad Suman Rao, also participated in the field visit.
During the inspection, R.V. Karnan reviewed the implementation of the Census House Listing Operation at the ground level. He interacted with enumerators and supervising staff and examined the procedures being followed for house listing and collection of demographic details.
Officials briefed the Commissioner on the progress of the survey and the methods adopted to ensure accurate data collection across the enumeration blocks.
GHMC Census House Listing to Finish by June 9
R.V. Karnan instructed field staff to ensure that every household is covered without omission during the Census House Listing Operation. He stressed the importance of accurate and complete data collection for the census process.
He also appealed to citizens to cooperate with enumerators by providing the required information during house visits.
Further, the Commissioner directed Deputy Commissioners to extend full cooperation to census staff for smooth completion of the operation. He instructed officials to deploy concerned field level officers, including bill collectors and tax inspectors, to assist the enumeration teams.
The GHMC has intensified monitoring of the Census House Listing Operation to ensure timely completion of the exercise across all zones. Officials said regular inspections and reviews are being conducted to address field level issues and improve coordination among departments.
