Hyderabad, May 19 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has expanded citizen services on the MeeSeva WhatsApp platform by adding several Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) services to improve convenience, accessibility and transparency in public service delivery.
The Electronic Service Delivery division of the Telangana government announced that citizens across the state can now instantly access additional GHMC services through the MeeSeva WhatsApp and chatbot platform.
The initiative is being implemented under the leadership of Telangana Information Technology and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu.
MeeSeva is the state government’s flagship digital service delivery platform. Officials said MeeSeva continues to strengthen citizen centric services through digital governance initiatives across Telangana.
The MeeSeva WhatsApp and chatbot platform was launched on November 18, 2025, as an additional digital channel to provide seamless access to essential government services. Officials said the latest expansion further enhances digital service delivery and allows citizens to access civic services directly through WhatsApp without visiting government offices.
The newly added GHMC services include GHMC Property Assessment Revision, GHMC Birth Correction, GHMC Death Correction, GHMC Birth at Home registration, GHMC Death at Home registration, GHMC Property Door Number Correction, GHMC Property Name Correction, GHMC Property Tax Services and GHMC Trade Licence Renewal.
Officials said citizens can access these services instantly through the official MeeSeva WhatsApp number 8096958096.
The government explained that the process is simple, quick and user friendly. Citizens must first save the official MeeSeva WhatsApp number and send a “Hi” message to activate the MeeSeva chatbot. Users can then type the required service name such as GHMC Birth Correction or GHMC Death Correction.
After selecting the “Open Service” option from the menu, citizens must enter the required details in the application form. Once the online payment process is completed, the application is instantly submitted through WhatsApp.
Officials said the MeeSeva WhatsApp platform has received a strong public response since its launch in November 2025. The platform witnessed remarkable adoption within days of its launch and emerged as one of the fastest adopted digital public service channels in Telangana.
According to officials, the most accessed services on the platform include Birth Certificate services, Income Certificate services, Police Challan payments, Electricity Bill services and BIE Result services.
The government said the increasing use of the platform reflects growing public dependence on WhatsApp based governance services for daily governance needs and essential public services.
Officials further stated that the Telangana government remains committed to continuously expanding digital service delivery, strengthening system reliability and ensuring seamless citizen experience across MeeSeva’s multiple service platforms. (Maxim News)
