Hyderabad, May 26: Telangana BJP president Ramchander Rao on Tuesday alleged that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation was divided into three parts due to pressure from AIMIM.
Addressing a media conference at the BJP office in Kukatpally, Ramchander Rao criticised the Congress government over housing, civic infrastructure and water supply issues in Hyderabad.
He alleged that the state government was misleading people in the name of Indiramma housing schemes and accused both the Congress and Bharat Rashtra Samithi governments of failing to support poor residents in Hyderabad.
BJP Targets Congress And BRS Over Hyderabad Issues
Ramchander Rao claimed that authorities still lacked clarity regarding the proposed administrative divisions in Hyderabad.
He also alleged that residents in several parts of the city were facing water supply problems and accused the Congress government of failing to address civic issues.
The BJP leader criticised the government over pollution and drainage problems in Hyderabad, stating that even minor rainfall causes flooding in several areas.
He further alleged that the real estate sector was severely affected under the present Congress government.
Ramchander Rao accused the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi government of irregularities in the implementation of double bedroom housing schemes.
He said the BJP aimed to provide corruption free governance and appealed to voters to support the party in the upcoming municipal elections.
The BJP leader also claimed that only his party could transform Hyderabad into a cosmopolitan city with improved infrastructure and civic administration.
