Hyderabad, June 7: Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced traffic restrictions and diversions around the Nampally ExhibitionGrounds in view of the annual Fish Prasadam distribution programme. The restrictions will be in force from 6:00 am on Monday until 8:00 pm on Tuesday.
Authorities said the measures have been introduced to ensure smooth movement of devotees and prevent traffic congestion in and around the venue.
Police advised devotees arriving by buses and vans to use the Gandhi Bhavan and Gruhakalpa bus stops to access the Exhibition Grounds. A special drop off point has also been arranged near Shezan Hotel for visitors travelling by auto rickshaws.
Traffic diversions will be implemented on key roads surrounding the venue during the event. Motorists have been urged to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes wherever possible.
Officials said adequate traffic management arrangements have been made to handle the expected influx of devotees attending the programme.
The annual Fish Prasadam distribution is conducted on the occasion of Mrigasira Karthi and attracts thousands of participants from different parts of the country each year.
Hyderabad Traffic Police requested the public to cooperate with traffic personnel and follow diversion instructions to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
