Hyderabad, Sept. 8: What if the next big idea to boost Telangana Tourism comes from an ordinary citizen? Media Junction is putting that question to the public with a bold new challenge.
The city-based public speaking centre invites citizens to pitch their tourism ideas on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Hyderabad.
Furthermore, the event falls just ahead of World Tourism Day observed on September 27.
According to organisers, the challenge is open to everyone aged 15 to 70 years. There is no entry fee. No professional speaking experience is required.
Moreover, participants need not belong to the travel or tourism industry. Students, senior citizens, travellers, homemakers, and professionals from all fields are welcome.
Additionally, each participant gets exactly three minutes to present their idea. The idea must focus on promoting Telangana Tourism.
However, the winning factor is not speaking skill. The most interesting and impactful idea wins. As a result, a teenager with a social media concept could beat a seasoned tourism professional.

Furthermore, the top three speakers win cash prizes.
First prize is Rs 5,000, second prize is Rs 3,000, and third prize is Rs 2,000. However, organisers stress the real goal is bigger than prizes.
The best ideas will be compiled and formally shared with the Tourism Department of the Government of Telangana.
Moreover, participants can propose ideas across any tourism category. These include heritage tourism, nature tourism, weekend getaways, food tourism, adventure tourism, rural tourism, cultural events, festivals, film tourism, social media strategies, influencer campaigns, and technology-driven visitor experiences.
Consequently, the competition invites truly fresh and diverse thinking.
Meanwhile, Media Junction Director Mrs. D. Kalpana explained the vision behind the event. She said this is not merely a speaking competition. It is an invitation for citizens to join the conversation on Telangana Tourism’s future. She added that organisers want people to ask themselves one question: if they had three minutes with tourism decision-makers, what would they say?
Additionally, the competition runs in two batches. The morning batch runs from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The afternoon batch runs from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The venue is Media Junction, Musheerabad, Hyderabad. Participants must register in advance and choose their preferred time slot.
