Delhi/Hyderabad, june 8 (Maxim News) Tensions between Israel and Iran in West Asia have once again reached a peak. The Indian government has been alerted. It has once again warned Indian citizens to avoid traveling to Iran and those already there to leave the country immediately. To this end, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has issued an official statement. ‘In view of the latest developments here, do not travel to Iran. Indian citizens currently in Iran should also return home through available means of transport,’ the embassy clarified in its statement.
Recently, there has been an increase in attacks and counterattacks between Israel and Iran. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it had attacked a petrochemical complex in the Mahshahr region of Iran. It said that it had successfully intercepted all the missiles launched by Iran at Israel on Monday morning. India has issued this travel advisory in the wake of these attacks. Iranian Commander Ali Abdullahi warned that if Israel continues its attacks on southern Lebanon, there will be serious consequences and that devastating attacks on Israel and its supporters will be inevitable.
Ali Abdullahi accused Israel of committing war crimes by using banned weapons such as phosphorus bombs with the green light from the US. The tensions began after the US-Israeli strikes on February 28 killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other top military officials. In retaliation, Iran launched drone and missile attacks in several places. Although a ceasefire agreement came into effect on April 8, tensions have continued. However, there are also reports that talks are underway between Iran and the US to establish peace. (Maxim News)
