Hyderabad Fish Prasadam 2026 | Hyderabad, June 8 (Maxim News): Hyderabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar inspected the security arrangements for the Fish Prasadam distribution event at Nampally Exhibition Grounds on Monday. The inspection focused on crowd management, safety measures, and emergency preparedness.
The Commissioner closely examined queue lines, distribution counters, and the mini command control centre set up at the venue. He also reviewed the overall coordination system and gave several on-ground instructions to the staff.
Senior officers including Additional CP (Law & Order) Taffseer Iqbal, IPS, Joint CP Traffic D. Joel Davis, IPS, DCP CAR Headquarters R. Venkateshwarlu, IPS, Golconda DCP Chandra Mohan, and DCP Traffic Kajal, IPS were present during the inspection.
Full-scale security plan for large public gathering
After the inspection, CP VC Sajjanar, IPS addressed the media. He said that the Fish Prasadam distribution will begin at 9 PM today. He added that the Bathini family and the state government completed all arrangements jointly.
He further stated that more than 25,000 people from across the country already reached Hyderabad for the event. Therefore, the police deployed around 1,000 personnel for bandobast duty to manage the crowd smoothly.
To ensure safety, police teams from law and order, crime wing, SHE Teams, and Task Force units will remain on duty. In addition, officials positioned surveillance teams to prevent thefts and avoid any untoward incidents.
Moreover, the police command control centre will issue announcements in multiple languages. These include Telugu, Oriya, Kannada, Marathi, and Gujarati to assist visitors from different states.
Traffic management teams implemented special diversions. As a result, local traffic will not face major disruption near the Exhibition Grounds.
For emergency situations, police arranged dedicated medical teams and five ambulances at the venue. These teams will provide immediate assistance if needed.
The Commissioner also said that priority will be given to visitors coming from other states today. At the same time, local residents are requested to avoid crowding today and attend tomorrow instead.
He assured that sufficient Fish Prasadam stock is available. Therefore, people need not worry about shortage.
Finally, he urged citizens not to believe rumours or misinformation. He appealed to the public to maintain discipline and cooperate with police and state authorities for smooth conduct of the event. (Maxim News)
