Tehran/Internet/Hyderabad, June 24 (Maxim News): The Indian Embassy in Tehran has advised Indian citizens not to travel to Iran unless absolutely necessary, despite the security situation in the country having improved somewhat. The situation there is only now beginning to improve with the declaration of an end to the US-Iran war. In this context, the Indian Embassy has revised its advisory and issued fresh recommendations (India Iran travel advisory).
The Indian Embassy said that it has revised its travel advisories in light of recent positive developments. However, it advised Indians to postpone non-essential travel to Iran until further notice. It said that Indians currently residing in Iran or those who have a need to travel there should exercise extreme caution (Indian Embassy Tehran).
The embassy said that the local situation should be monitored continuously and official instructions of the Iranian government should be followed (Iran travel warning). Indians in Iran are advised to register their details with the Indian Embassy and keep up to date with the latest information through official websites and social media. (Maxim News)
