Nalgonda/Hyderabad, June 30, 2026: Two drivers sustained serious injuries after a private travel bus collided with a ready-mix lorry on the Vijayawada–Hyderabad National Highway in Nalgonda district on Tuesday morning.
The accident occurred near Muthyalammagudem in Kattangur mandal.
According to preliminary information, the private travel bus was travelling from Bhimavaram towards Hyderabad when one of its tyres reportedly burst, causing the driver to lose control. The bus then collided with a ready-mix lorry coming from the opposite direction.
Both the bus driver and the lorry driver suffered injuries in the collision.
After receiving information from local residents, police personnel reached the spot and shifted the injured persons for medical treatment.
Authorities said the injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital.
The Kattangur police registered a case and initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Officials are examining all circumstances surrounding the incident, including the reported tyre burst and road conditions at the time of the collision.
