New Delhi, July 3: Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi concluded her three day visit to India on Friday after participating in the 16th India Japan Annual Summit, where both countries reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties across key sectors.
Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh saw off Takaichi at the airport as she departed from New Delhi.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said the visit strengthened the India Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership and reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to promoting peace, prosperity and stability in the Indo Pacific region.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Takaichi held wide ranging talks covering trade and investment, economic security, energy, emerging technologies, defence and people to people exchanges. The two leaders also discussed regional and global developments of mutual interest.
Following the summit, both sides witnessed the exchange of key agreements and Memorandums of Understanding in the areas of economic security, clean energy, critical technologies and research and development.

The two countries also adopted three major documents, including a Joint Declaration on Economic Security, a Joint Statement on Artificial Intelligence cooperation and a Joint Statement on Energy Resilience. They also finalised activities to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year.
Prime Minister Modi hosted a dinner for Takaichi on Thursday evening. In a post on X, the Japanese Prime Minister thanked Modi for his hospitality and said the discussions covered bilateral relations, the international situation and the cultures and cuisines of both countries. She expressed confidence that the relationship would reach greater heights ahead of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties.
The two leaders also addressed the India Japan Joint Economic Forum. Discussions focused on increasing investment, strengthening resilient supply chains, expanding manufacturing partnerships under the “Make in India for the World” initiative and enhancing cooperation in clean growth and emerging technologies.
