Hyderabad, July 7: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) Vice Chancellor Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan on Monday urged teachers to inspire students through their conduct, values and professional ethics while inaugurating a month long Faculty Induction Programme (FIP) at the university campus.
The programme is being organised by the UGC Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (UGC MMTTC) to equip newly appointed faculty members with skills in teaching, research and academic leadership.
Addressing the participants, Prof. Hasan said teachers influence not only the intellectual growth of students but also their moral and personal development. He urged educators to remain mindful of their responsibilities and uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and professionalism.
The Vice Chancellor also highlighted the changing landscape of higher education and stressed the need for continuous professional development. He said the Faculty Induction Programme offers educators an opportunity to strengthen their knowledge, improve teaching methods and adapt to emerging academic and technological developments.
Prof. Saneem Fatima, Director of UGC MMTTC, delivered the welcome address. She said the programme promotes learner centred pedagogy, research excellence, ethical academic practices, interdisciplinary collaboration and professional competence in line with the National Education Policy 2020.
The induction programme has brought together faculty members from universities and colleges across the country. Participants will attend lectures, workshops, panel discussions and interactive sessions covering teaching learning processes, research methodology, educational technology, institutional governance, professional ethics and other contemporary issues in higher education.
Dr. Meraj Ahmed Mubarki, Associate Professor, said the programme reflects UGC MMTTC’s commitment to developing competent, reflective and future ready educators through continuous professional development.
