Hyderabad, July 9 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has given the green signal for the first phase of the Musi Revival Project. It has issued official orders granting administrative approvals of Rs. 7,345.12 crore for the Musi Riverfront Project. Musi development work will be undertaken in Zone-1A and Zone-1B priority corridors. Development work will continue for 9.20 km from Himayatsagar to Bapughat and 11.80 km from Osmansagar to Bapughat. A total of 21 km. Riverfront work will be done on the priority stretch.
The government has approved Rs. 7,345.12 crore excluding land acquisition cost. Out of this, Rs. 4,500 crore will be taken as a loan from ADB, while the remaining Rs. 2,845.12 crore will be taken as a loan from HMDA or TGIIC. The Musi Riverfront works will be carried out under EPC mode. The government has approved the appointment of a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) to supervise the project.
