Hyderabad, July 20: The national flag fell to the ground at Nagole in Hyderabad after the iron chains attached to the flagpole reportedly broke due to poor maintenance, triggering public concern and demands for action against the officials concerned.
According to reports, the incident occurred near the Musi Riverfront area. The flagpole’s iron chains snapped, causing the national flag to fall.
Residents alleged that officials of the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation failed to carry out timely maintenance of the flagpole. They also claimed that the flag remained unattended even after it had fallen.
Locals demanded immediate restoration of the national flag and urged the authorities to take action against those responsible for the alleged negligence.
No official statement has been issued by the Musi Riverfront Development Corporation regarding the incident so far.
