Hyderabad, July 21: BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Tuesday warned that those allegedly harassing BRS leaders and party workers would be held accountable, including officials involved in such actions.
Addressing a public meeting in Mancherial, KTR accused the Congress government of targeting BRS leaders and cautioned officials against exceeding their authority.
KTR Criticises Congress Government
KTR alleged that officials who misuse their powers would face consequences even after retirement. He also criticised the Mancherial MLA and urged him to change his approach.
Referring to the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, KTR said BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had built the project to address drought and improve irrigation in Telangana.
He alleged that the Congress government had failed to repair the project despite the passage of several months and claimed that the company responsible for the repairs had also faced pressure.
KTR further alleged that Godavari waters were flowing towards Andhra Pradesh due to the government’s inaction.
Targeting Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, KTR accused him of focusing on politics instead of governance. He also criticised the Chief Minister’s remarks on caste and said the people of Telangana should be united beyond such divisions.
