Hyderabad, July 21: Former Minister and Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav attended the Sri Renuka Yellamma Kalyana Mahotsavam at the Balkampet Yellamma Temple on Tuesday and offered prayers for the prosperity and well-being of the people.
Talasani Prays for Good Rains and Prosperity
Endowments Department officials welcomed Talasani with a traditional Poornakumbham upon his arrival at the temple.
Speaking on the occasion, Talasani said the Goddess Kalyanam was conducted inside the temple until 2014. He said that after he was elected as an MLA, the ceremony has been organized under a large temporary shed in front of the temple so that lakhs of devotees can witness the event.
He said devotees from both Telugu states participate in the annual celebrations in large numbers.
Referring to the impact of El Niño, Talasani said the state was experiencing inadequate rainfall. He prayed to Goddess Yellamma to bless Telangana with abundant rains, good agricultural produce, and prosperity for farmers and the people.
