Telangana Heavy Rain | Hyderabad, July 27: Telangana is set to receive widespread rainfall as the southwest monsoon remains active across the state. After a prolonged dry spell that affected several regions, weather conditions have turned favourable, bringing relief to people and farmers.
According to weather reports, moderate to heavy rainfall is likely in several districts on July 27. The districts expected to receive significant rain include Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Mancherial, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, and Khammam from the afternoon until late at night.

Weather forecasts also indicate moderate rainfall across Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Medak, Mahabubnagar, Rangareddy, Siddipet, Jangaon, Karimnagar, Hanamkonda, Warangal, and Narayanpet districts. Meanwhile, the remaining districts may experience light to scattered showers.
The rainfall follows widespread showers recorded across Telangana on Sunday. During the last 24 hours, northern and western parts of the state received substantial rainfall.
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society (TGDPS), Metpally in Jagtial district recorded the highest rainfall at 77.8 mm.
Sangareddy received 71.8 mm, while Shankarpally in Rangareddy district recorded 70.8 mm. Mominpet in Vikarabad district registered 61 mm of rainfall.
Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious during periods of heavy rain. Motorists have also been urged to drive carefully, especially in low-lying areas and waterlogged stretches, as rainfall may affect traffic and visibility.
