Hyderabad, August 10: Minister for Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises Mohammad Azharuddin attended the Quit India Day flag hoisting ceremony at Gandhi Bhavan.
The programme commemorated the historic Quit India Movement launched in 1942. Congress leaders and party workers also participated in the event.
TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud attended the ceremony along with Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
Environment and Forests and Endowments Minister Konda Surekha also participated in the programme.
Leaders Pay Tribute To Freedom Fighters
Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fisheries and Sports and Youth Services Vakiti Srihari was also present.
Several chairpersons, MLAs, DCC presidents, senior Congress leaders and party workers attended the ceremony.
The leaders paid tribute to freedom fighters and recalled the significance of the Quit India Movement in India’s independence struggle.
