Hyderabad: A 19-year-old woman died after her husband allegedly pushed her during a quarrel over food at their home in Katedan on Sunday night.
According to police, Shikshanjali Kumari and Chandan Kumar married on April 30 this year. The couple lived in Sri Ram Nagar Colony and worked as daily wage labourers.
Police said the couple faced financial difficulties, which reportedly led to frequent arguments at home.
On Sunday night, Shikshanjali served food to her husband. Chandan Kumar allegedly became angry after finding the curry unsatisfactory.
He allegedly pushed his wife during the argument. She fell and hit her head against a wall, sustaining a serious injury.

Chandan Kumar reportedly rushed Shikshanjali to Osmania General Hospital after the incident.
However, doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The woman’s mother approached Mailardevpally police on Monday and lodged a complaint.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case and began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
Police are examining the sequence of events and other circumstances leading to the fatal incident.
The case remains under investigation.
