Hyderabad, August 15: Actress Faria Abdullah broke down in tears while responding to criticism over her participation in Hyderabad’s Bonalu celebrations.
In a video shared on Instagram on Saturday, Faria spoke about her family, religious beliefs, love and humanity.
She said her father embraced Islam out of faith and taught her the positive values of the religion.
Faria became emotional while recalling her mother’s words that “Allah is everywhere.”

Faria said she sees life in everything around her, including trees, stones and butterflies.
She said she wanted people to live with love, unity and peace.
Responding to those who criticised her by calling her a “kafir”, Faria said she would continue spreading love even towards people who hate her.

She also said she would pray for their well being.
Explaining her understanding of Allah, Faria said the word represents a light that connects everything everywhere and at all times.
Faria recently participated in Bonalu celebrations in Hyderabad, where she carried a bonam alongside women and danced with Pothuraj performers.
Her emotional response came after criticism over her participation in the festivities.
The video has since sparked discussion on social media.
