Hyderabad, Sept. 9: Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammed Azharuddin urged minority students and youth to use government opportunities to build successful careers.
He said passion, hard work, discipline and determination were essential for achieving success.
Azharuddin made the remarks while inaugurating the Government Minority Study Circle and Career Counselling Centre at Indira Priya Darshini Junior College in Hyderabad.
He described the centre as an important initiative for minority youth. It will support education, competitive examination preparation and career guidance.
Azharuddin Calls On Students to Use New Centre
Azharuddin appreciated the Minorities Welfare Department for completing the centre. He particularly acknowledged Director Tariq Anwar for his efforts.
The minister said the government had provided facilities and opportunities for students. He urged them to use these resources effectively.
He asked students to develop passion for their chosen fields and remain committed to their goals.
Azharuddin also encouraged students to ask questions and seek guidance without hesitation. He said questioning was an important part of learning.
Recalling his cricket career, Azharuddin said he regularly sought guidance from his captain Sunil Gavaskar while playing for India. He said the experience helped him learn and improve.
The minister said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was committed to the educational and overall development of minority communities.
He also encouraged girls to increase their participation in education and employment. He advised boys to avoid bad habits and use their time productively.
Recalling his days at Nizam College, Azharuddin said two of his friends studied under a tree despite limited facilities. He said both later achieved success in their respective fields.
Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir highlighted the importance of education. He referred to “Iqra”, meaning “Read”, as the first word revealed in the Quran.
Shabbir said education and knowledge were essential for empowering minority youth. He also highlighted government initiatives and reservation measures aimed at expanding opportunities.
Telangana Minorities Residential Educational Institutions Society President Faheem Qureshi described the centre as a major milestone for minority youth.
He appreciated Azharuddin’s efforts and follow up with the Chief Minister and various departments for completing the facility.
Qureshi urged students to make full use of the centre. He also called for greater representation of minority students in UPSC, civil services and other competitive examinations.
MP Anil Kumar Yadav described the facility as a historic initiative. He said it would benefit present and future generations of minority students.
