Hyderabad, Sept 10 (Maxim News): The NEET PG answer key 2026 is expected to be released today, September 10, by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences.
However, NBEMS had not officially released the provisional answer key as of the latest update. Candidates can expect the response sheet along with the provisional key.
The examination authority will provide question IDs, correct answers and recorded responses. Candidates can use these details to estimate their probable scores.
Around 2.66 lakh candidates appeared for NEET PG 2026. The examination was scheduled for 2,65,980 candidates across 1,111 centres in 338 cities.
The exam was completed by 2,63,535 candidates. However, 2,445 candidates from Jaipur faced a separate examination after a disruption at two centres.
The disruption occurred at the Sitapura examination centres because of an internal power failure. NBEMS later conducted the re examination for the affected candidates on September 5.
The NEET PG 2026 result is scheduled to be declared by September 30. Candidates can therefore use the provisional answer key to assess their likely performance before the result.
NEET PG Answer Key 2026: How Candidates Can Check
Once released, candidates can access the NEET PG answer key 2026 through the NBEMS applicant login.
They must first visit the official NBEMS website. Candidates should then open the NEET PG 2026 section and select the application link.
Next, they need to log in with their user ID and password. After login, candidates can select the answer key and provisional response sheet option.
The page will display the question IDs, correct answers and recorded responses. Candidates can check the details and download the available documents for reference.
The NEET PG 2026 paper contained 180 multiple choice questions. The paper carried a total of 720 marks.
Candidates will receive four marks for every correct answer. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
No marks will be awarded for unanswered questions. Therefore, candidates can calculate their probable score using their recorded responses.
The answer key will also allow candidates to compare their answers with the official responses. This can help them form an early estimate of their performance.
The publication of the answer key follows a Supreme Court direction that led to greater transparency in the NEET PG examination process. NBEMS published the answer key and candidate responses for NEET PG 2025 following the court’s direction.
Candidates should rely on the official NBEMS portal for the final release notice. They should also avoid relying on unofficial answer keys or social media claims.
Meanwhile, the provisional key will precede the final result process. The NEET PG 2026 result remains scheduled for release by September 30.
