Hyderabad, Sept. 15: A rowdy sheeter identified as Nayeem from Yellandu in Bhadradri Kothagudem district was allegedly hacked to death at a wine shop permit room in Bandlaguda under Nagole police station limits on Monday night.
According to police, a group of unidentified assailants chased Rowdy Sheeter Nayeem and attacked him with sickles and knives. He reportedly entered the Supreme Wines permit room while trying to escape.
The attackers allegedly surrounded him inside the permit room and assaulted him with liquor bottles and kitchen utensils before hacking him to death.
Nagole police reached the spot after receiving information and launched an investigation into the murder.
Police suspect old enmity and gang rivalry could have led to the attack. Investigators are also working to identify the assailants who allegedly arrived at the location in a car.
