Hyderabad Old City Murder | Hyderabad, Sept. 17 (Maxim News): A man was killed and his son seriously injured after they were allegedly attacked with a dagger in Hyderabad’s Old City on Thursday evening.
The incident took place in the Bagh Jahan Ara (bagh e jahara) area of Yakutpura. According to preliminary information, a youth identified as Mohammed allegedly entered Hashmat’s house and attacked him and his son Umar with a dagger.
Hashmat suffered severe injuries and died in the attack. His son Umar was seriously injured and shifted to a hospital for treatment.

On receiving information about the incident, Madannapet Police reached the spot and launched an investigation. Police are gathering details about the circumstances surrounding the attack.
According to preliminary information, the attack may have followed an alleged dispute involving Hashmat’s daughter. The attacker was reportedly harassing her, prompting Hashmat and his son to object.
Police are investigating whether the dispute led to the violent attack. as soon as information reached AIMIM MLA Ahmed Balala, ex corporateres and other leaders reached the house.
