Hyderabad, Sept. 17: Central Gurudwara Sahib Gowliguda will celebrate its centenary with religious programmes on September 19 and 20, 2026.
Founded in 1926, the historic Gurudwara has completed 100 years in Hyderabad.
Over the decades, it has developed into a centre of worship and community service.
The celebrations will highlight Sikh values of faith, equality, brotherhood and sewa.
The Prabhandak Committee is organising the events with Sikh Gurudwaras across Telangana.
Central Gurudwara Sahib Gowliguda Plans Grand Religious Programmes
CGSG Prabhandak Committee president S Trilok Singh said major centenary programmes will be held on September 19 and 20.
The main event, Vishaal Diwan, will be held at Exhibition Grounds on Nampally Road on September 20.
The mass religious congregation will take place from 11 am to 5 pm.
Renowned Ragi Jathas and preachers will perform Shabad Kirtan during the programme.
The participants include Bhai Jagjeet Singh Babiha of Delhi, Bhai Balpreet Singh of Ludhiana and Bhai Jagpreet Singh Khannewale.
Bhai Ravinder Singh will also participate in the devotional programme.
Several prominent Sikh spiritual and community leaders are expected to attend the celebrations.
They include Singh Sahib Sant Baba Kulwant Singh, Jathedar of Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded.
Sant Baba Balwinder Singh of Hazur Sahib and Baba Teja Singh of Gurdwara Mata Sahib Devan, Nanded, are also expected.
Harmeet Singh Kalka, president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, will participate as well.
A Vishesh Kirtan Darbar will be held at Central Gurudwara Sahib Gowliguda on September 19.
The programme will run from 8 pm to 11:30 pm and feature leading Ragi Jathas.
An Amrit Sanchar will also be held at the Gurudwara at 9 am on September 19.
Guru Ka Langar will be served to devotees during the centenary programmes.
The celebrations will bring together Sikh community members and devotees from Hyderabad and across Telangana.
The centenary will also mark a century of spiritual heritage, community life and service in Hyderabad.
