Hyderabad, Sept. 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will distribute more than 51,000 appointment letters at the 20th Rozgar Mela on September 19, 2026.
The programme will begin at 12:30 pm and will be held through video conferencing.
Modi will also address the newly selected candidates during the programme.
The 20th Rozgar Mela will be organised simultaneously at 45 locations across the country.
The newly recruited candidates will join various ministries and departments of the Government of India.
These include the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Railways and Ministry of Home Affairs.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services and Ministry of Defence are also among the participating departments.
Rozgar Mela to Cover Government Appointments
The latest Rozgar Mela will take the total number of appointment letters issued through the initiative to about 12.75 lakh.
The government said the programme reflects its focus on creating employment opportunities for young people.
It also aims to increase youth participation in the country’s development process.
The appointment letters will be issued to candidates selected for posts across various government organisations.
The 20th edition follows the 19th Rozgar Mela held in May 2026, when more than 51,000 appointment letters were distributed.
The Rozgar Mela initiative was launched to facilitate recruitment to government posts and provide employment opportunities to eligible candidates.
