Hyderabad, Sept. 21: Gachibowli police have registered a case against actor and professional wrestler Saurav Gurjar following a woman’s complaint alleging cheating and harassment after a promise of marriage.
The woman approached Cyberabad police on August 15 and alleged that Gurjar had promised to marry her and give her rights similar to those of a wife.
She also alleged that she faced physical and mental harassment during their relationship.
According to her complaint, the two first connected through Instagram in 2021. They later developed a close relationship through WhatsApp.
The woman told police that they met in person for the first time on December 25, 2021.
She alleged that their relationship continued while she was in the United States and after she returned to India.
Saurav Gurjar Detained After Complaint
The woman alleged that Gurjar persuaded her to leave her job in the US after promising that they would start a business together.
She claimed that the alleged harassment later affected her ability to concentrate on her work.
She also alleged that Gurjar would block her phone number whenever she questioned him about marriage.
According to the complaint, Gurjar stayed with her from October 2025 to March 2026.
The woman further alleged that he returned to Hyderabad and continued living with her before suddenly leaving without informing her.
Based on the complaint, Gachibowli police registered a case and began investigating the allegations.
Police reportedly traced Gurjar to Mumbai and detained him before bringing him to Hyderabad for further legal proceedings.
The investigation will examine the relationship, the alleged promise of marriage and the other claims made by the complainant.
