Hyderabad, Sept. 21: A court sentenced two accused to simple imprisonment in separate e petty cases registered by Mirchowk Police Station in Hyderabad.
In the first case, the court sentenced Shaik Mohsin, 26, an auto driver from Jeelapally, Hyderabad, to five days in jail. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 550.
Police registered the case under Section 70(b) of the City Police Act and Section 221 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. According to police, Mohsin created a nuisance in a public place and intentionally prevented a police officer from performing official duties.
The incident occurred on September 18, 2026. The case carries e petty case number HYD2345PC261861 and STC number 4102/2026.
The court sent Mohsin to Chanchalguda Jail after passing the sentence. The case was heard by Sri T. Srinivas, III Special Judicial Magistrate Second Class, at Manoranjan Complex, Gandhi Bhavan, Nampally, Hyderabad.
Mirchowk Police Record Second E Petty Conviction
In another case, the same court sentenced Mohammed Arif, 43, to three days of simple imprisonment.
Police identified Arif as a hamali worker and a resident of Mir Alam Mandi in the Charminar area of Hyderabad.
The court convicted him under Section 70(b) of the City Police Act. Police said Arif created a nuisance at his residence on September 19, 2026.
The second case carries e petty case number HYD2345PC261871 and STC number 4105/2026. Police took Arif to Chanchalguda Jail following the court’s order.
The cases highlight police action against alleged public nuisance and obstruction of official duties. However, the sentences followed judicial proceedings before the concerned magistrate.
Court Action Follows Mirchowk Police Cases
Mirchowk Police said the convictions followed action against the accused in the respective incidents.
Police credited CDO WPC Haritha for her efforts in pursuing the first case. The station house officer issued the details of both convictions.
The first case involved an alleged obstruction of police duties in a public place. The second involved alleged nuisance at a residence.
The court imposed different jail terms based on the respective cases. Mohsin received five days of simple imprisonment and a Rs 550 fine, while Arif received three days of simple imprisonment.
Both accused were sent to Chanchalguda Jail after the court proceedings.
The police communication identified the judicial authority, case numbers, legal provisions and sentences in both matters. The cases were handled through the e petty case process before the III Special Judicial Magistrate Second Class at Nampally.
