AP Telangana weather |Hyderabad, Oct. 4: Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are likely to experience rain and thunderstorms on Sunday, October 4, under the influence of weather changes over the Bay of Bengal and an upper air circulation.
The India Meteorological Department has warned of thunderstorms, lightning and strong surface winds in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on October 4. Similar conditions are expected to continue in parts of the state over the next few days.
According to the Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority, scattered rainfall with thunderstorms and gusty winds is possible in several districts.
Anakapalli, Kakinada, Konaseema and West Godavari are among the districts likely to receive light to moderate rain with lightning at isolated places.
Winds may reach speeds of around 30 to 40 kmph in some areas. Officials have advised people, particularly farmers, to remain cautious during thunderstorms.
Fishermen have also been advised against venturing into the sea because of potentially rough conditions. Those already at sea have been urged to return to safer locations.

The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has forecast thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds in several northern and eastern districts of Telangana.
Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu and Bhadradri Kothagudem are likely to receive rain at isolated places.
The remaining districts are expected to experience comparatively dry weather.
Maximum temperatures in Telangana are likely to remain around 31 to 32 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures may stay between 22 and 23 degrees Celsius.
The weather system over the Bay of Bengal is being closely monitored. Further changes in rainfall patterns will depend on the movement and development of the system.
Residents in areas under thunderstorm warnings have been advised to follow official weather updates and take precautions during lightning and strong winds.
