Hyderabad, Oct. 10: KL Deemed to be University has secured the highest 4 Star Rating under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) framework for the fifth consecutive year.
The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell awarded the rating for the university’s innovation and start up activities during the 2024–25 IIC calendar year. The achievement highlights the institution’s continued focus on student innovation and entrepreneurship.
Seven teams from KLEF have also reached the final rounds of the IIC Innovation Challenges. Four teams qualified for the AICTE Production Fellowship (APF) finals, while three advanced to the YUKTI Innovation Challenge finals.
KL Deemed University | Six Finalist Teams Represent the HTI Programme
Six of the seven finalist teams belong to the university’s Honors Through Innovation (HTI) programme. The programme encourages students to develop ideas into practical products and entrepreneurial solutions.
Er. Koneru Satyanarayana, Chancellor of KL Deemed to be University, said the recognition reinforced the institution’s commitment to making innovation an integral part of education.
He congratulated the students, faculty and staff for their contributions. He also highlighted the role of mentorship in helping student teams advance to the APF and YUKTI finals.

The university said the initiatives were undertaken under the leadership of Dr. G. Pardha Saradhi Varma and the supervision of Dr. K. Narasimha Raju, Head of the MDI&E Department. Faculty and staff supported the teams through mentorship and guidance.
Guided by its vision of “Innovation and Entrepreneurship for a Better Tomorrow,” KLEF encourages students to develop and scale solutions with real world applications.
The university said the latest achievements strengthen its efforts to connect academic learning with product development and start up opportunities.
