Errupalem/Hyderabad, Oct 11 (Maxim News): Congress sarpanch Sheikh Fatimabhi of Kachavaram village has announced her resignation from the party in Telangana’s Madhira constituency.
Fatimabhi, from Errupalem mandal in Khammam district, cited a lack of cooperation from fellow Congress leaders over village development works. Madhira is represented by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka.
Speaking at a meeting at her residence on Saturday night, Fatimabhi said her family had supported the Congress for the past 20 years. She recalled contesting earlier elections on the party ticket despite losing.
She said she was recently elected sarpanch unanimously with support from leaders across political parties.
Fatimabhi Alleges Internal Differences Over Village Development
Fatimabhi alleged that some Congress leaders had failed to cooperate with her since she assumed office. She said another group within the party was raising objections to development works.
According to Fatimabhi, these disagreements had made it difficult to carry out essential works for villagers.
She said she had repeatedly raised the issue with mandal-level Congress leaders. However, she alleged that her complaints had not received a response.
Fatimabhi said her priority was village development and the implementation of welfare schemes. She expressed disappointment that internal differences were obstructing these efforts.
She announced her resignation after failing to secure a resolution to the issue. She also said she would reveal her future political plans soon.
The announcement has drawn attention in local political circles because Kachavaram falls within Bhatti Vikramarka’s Madhira constituency. The allegations concern local party cooperation and village development.
