Hyderabad, Oct. 11: TPCC Working President T. Jagga Reddy accused the BJP of using Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj for political gain and distorting history.
He said Shivaji Maharaj should not be associated exclusively with any religion. Jagga Reddy made these remarks on Sunday while performing the bhoomi puja for a statue of Shivaji Maharaj on Sangareddy Bypass Road.
He urged young people to understand Shivaji Maharaj’s history and recognise his contributions beyond religious and caste divisions.

Jagga Reddy said Muslim officials had also served under Shivaji Maharaj. He stressed that the ruler’s priorities included public welfare and the security of his kingdom.
