UP Polls | Lucknow, Oct. 14: The Samajwadi Party has suffered a setback after three of its leaders, Abhay Singh, Rakesh Pratap Singh and Vinod Chaturvedi, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The development comes as political parties prepare their strategies ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
UP Polls | Abhay Singh Criticises Samajwadi Party After Joining BJP
Speaking after joining the BJP, Abhay Singh accused the Samajwadi Party of acting against Sanatan Dharma and discriminating in the distribution of party positions. He also alleged that the party was involved in actions such as tearing up the Ramcharitmanas.

Abhay Singh claimed that the BJP had given greater priority to different sections of society in allocating Rajya Sabha positions. In contrast, he accused the Samajwadi Party of favouring its own members when distributing posts.
Referring to protests in Delhi, Singh alleged that the movement was being funded from abroad. He also commented on job scams, stating that people involved in such cases were being arrested.
Singh concluded his remarks with the slogan “Jai Shri Ram.” The leaders’ departure adds a new development to Uttar Pradesh’s political landscape ahead of the Assembly elections. The allegations made during Singh’s speech have not been independently verified.
