Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct 25 (Maxim News): Air India and Air India Express have extended flight suspensions to Riyadh and Dammam until November 7, 2026. Services to and from Jeddah will remain suspended until October 31 amid continuing security concerns in the region.
The airlines announced the revised schedule on October 24. They said passengers with confirmed bookings issued on or before October 24 could choose flexible rebooking or a full refund upon cancellation.
The suspensions follow earlier cancellations affecting flights to Saudi Arabia. The airlines said they were monitoring the regional situation and prioritising passenger and crew safety.
IndiGo and Akasa Air Also Extend Flight Suspensions
IndiGo has cancelled flights to and from Riyadh until October 31. Services connecting Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah will also remain suspended until October 31, according to its latest announcement.
Akasa Air has extended its Riyadh flight suspension until November 30. Its services to and from Jeddah will remain suspended until November 10.
The cancellations have disrupted travel between India and Saudi Arabia, including journeys for business, tourism and religious purposes.
Air India and Air India Express have offered eligible passengers flexible rebooking and refund options. Some passengers may also qualify for one-time complimentary rebooking on operational routes, subject to availability and the airlines’ conditions.
Passengers should check their booking status directly with their airline before travelling to the airport. They should also confirm applicable refund and rebooking conditions, as options vary by airline, destination and original travel date.
The airlines have not announced a confirmed date for the full resumption of all affected services.
