The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has complained to election authority about fake news claiming that Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will return back to Central Ministry if he loses Goa by-elections.
The complaint has been filed against violation of code of conduct by circulating distorted and false news item.
The party alleged that by circulating distorted and false news item on social media, an attempt has been made to create falsehood and malign the image of Parrikar, adding that it is an attempt to misguide the electorate of the Panaji constituency from where Goa Chief Minister is contesting the by-polls.
