and Industry Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today said the government was mulling to form an Innovation Task Force, to protect the intellectual property rights (IPR) of the film and music industries as any kind of piracy was ‘absolutely unacceptable’.
Addressing the national workshop on Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights here, Ms Sitharaman said she had met with many film and music industry representatives, who expressed their concern over piracy and IPR violations.
She exemplified by saying that a popular movie in the country has already been pirated and people were getting it at their doorsteps.
