Hyderabad, Nov.2 (Maxim News): Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) President Prof. Kodandaram on Friday called on Congress President Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi. During the meeting, the two leaders have discussed about the seat sharing arrangements and strategies to be devised to defeat ruling TRS party in the upcoming elections.
Addressing media persons after the meeting, Kodandaram said that he asked the Congress president to allocate 17 Assembly seats to his party. He also said he told the Congress president to have a common minimum program for the grand alliance to go into the elections and take on the ruling party. He said Rahul asked him to finalize the seat sharing arrangements by holding discussions on the issue with the state party leaders in Hyderabad.
He also asked Kodandaram to lead the campaign of the grand Alliance across the State. The meeting of Kodandaram with Rahul Gandhi has assumed importance following the media reports that the Congress Party has decided to leave eight Assembly constituencies for the TJS. The TJS Leader further said that Rahul asked him to finalise the seat sharing arrangements by holding discussions on the issue with the state party leaders in Hyderabad. The Congress president also asked Kodandaram to lead the campaign of the grand Alliance across the state. The meeting of Kodandaram with Rahul Gandhi lasted for 40 minutes. He was accompanied by Congress party leader Madhu Yaski during the meeting with Rahul Gandhi. (Maxim News)
