AICC chief okays DCC presidents for all 31 districts in State

Hyderabad, Feb.7 (Maxim News): The All India Congress Committee (AICC) has released the much-awaited list of appointment of new District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents for all the 31 districts in the State. Party president Rahul Gandhi has approved the list of the party leaders recommended by the TPCC for the purpose.

General Secretary of the party K C Venugopal released the list on Thursday. Three sitting MLAs of the party have been made DCC presidents. Former minister and Kothagudem MLA Vanama Venkateswar Rao was appointed as the DCC president of Bhadradri-Kothagudem District and Tandur MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy as DCC president of Vikarabad district. Asifabad MLA Atram Sakku was made DCC president of the same district by the party high command.

The party has also given the opportunity to the wives of sitting MLAs and former MLAs of the party. Gandra Jyothi, wife of Bhupalapalle MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy was made DCC president of Jayashankar Bhupalapalle District. Similarly, wife of Sangareddy MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy, Nirmala Goud, was appointed DCC president of the same district. Wife of senior party leader and former MLC Prem Sagar Rao K. Surekha was made the DCC president of Mancheriyal District.

The party has tried to bring balance among the leaders of different castes. In all, it has given the highest number of DCC posts to the BC leaders of the party. As many as 12 DCC posts have been given to the BCs. It is followed by nine DCC posts to Reddys, two each to Brahmins, SCs, STs, Kamma and one each to Velama and Muslim.

The other newly appointed DCC presidents are: K. Mrityunjayam (Karimnagar), Bhargav Deshpande ( Adilabad), Obaidullah Kotwal (Mahbubnagar), Rama Rao Patel Pawar (Nirmal), A. Laxman Kumar ( Jagtiyal), Eerla komuraiah (Peddapalle), N.Satyanarayana Goud (Rajanna Siricilla), M. Mohan Reddy (Nizamabad), Kesha Venu ( Nizamabad city), Anjan Kumar Yadav (GHMC), Kuna Srisailam Goud ( Medchal Malkajgiri), K. Srinivasa Rao (Kamareddy), Challa Narasimha Reddy (Rangareddy), Naini Rajender Reddy ( Warangal Urban and Rural), Kedari Srinivas Rao (Warangal city), Janga Raghava Reddy (Janagaon), Tirupathi Reddy (Medak), A. Narsa Reddy (Siddipeta), Shankar Prasad (Wanaparthy), Patel Prabhakar Reddy (Jogulamba Gadwal), Venkanna Yadav (Suryapeta), Ch.Vamshi Krishna (Nagarkurnool), k. Sankar Naik ( Nalgonda), bharatasimha Reddy ( Mahbubabad), B. Bikshaaiah Goud ( Yadadri Bhongir) and puvvada Durga Prasad ( Khammam) Districts. The party has also appointed N. Deepak Chowdary as the working president and Javeed as the city congress presidents of of Khammam city. (Maxim News)
