119 Phule Schools To Be Launched Tomorrow: Koppula
Hyderabad, June 15 (Maxim News): Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar today said 119 Jyothibha Phule Gurukul schools will be opened in the State on June 17.
Speaking to mediapersosn at the Secretariat here today, the minister said the State government sanctioned the schools as part of providing quality education to SC, ST, BC and Minorities in the State as Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao aims to offer best quality education on the lines of corporate education to these communities. He also appreciated the gurukul schools for achieving better results in the recent examinations.
The minister said there was stiff competition to get seats in these schools. Right now there are 281 educational institutions as against 19 previous institutions. He said diet charges were increased for the students besides providing uniforms, shoes and cosmetic charges. The minister reminded that the State government aims at welfare of the poor and roll out the students to be good citizens.
Tourism Secretary B Venkatesham, Additional secretary Saida and Gurukul Society secretary Mallaiah Bhattu were also present. (Maxim News)
