Sukhender Reddy Files Nomination For MLC Post

Hyderabad, Aug.7 (Maxim News): Telangana State farmers coordination committee chairman and former MP Gutha Sukhender Reddy today filed his nomination papers for MLC post under MLA quota. On behalf of the TRS, Gutha submitted papers to Legislature Secretary Dr V Narasimha Charyulu.

He was accompanied by ministers V Srinivas Goud, Jagadish Reddy, Srinivas Yadav, Indrakaran Reddy, V Prashanth Reddy and others. After the Election Commission issued schedule for the election of MLC post, TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao fielded Sukhender Reddy for the lone MLC post.

The MLC seat fell vacant after K Yadava Reddy was disqualified by Council Chairman for defecting to the Congress from the TRS. Though Yadava Reddy moved the High Court and Supreme Court to stay his disqualification, he failed to get verdict in his favour. It is likely that Sukhender Reddy’s election will be unanimous as the Congress was not in a position to field its candidate for the post due to lack of adequate numbers. (Maxim News)
