Hyderabad, Aug 7 (Maxim News): Saidabad Police arrested a 21 year old auto rickshaw driver for the murder of Md. Fasi Ahmed Ameer in Singareni Colony.
Police said the murder occurred on August 4, 2026, following an altercation between the accused and the victim. The investigation revealed that the accused allegedly held a long standing personal grudge against the deceased.
According to police, the accused attacked Fasi Ahmed with a knife during the confrontation. He later allegedly disposed of the weapon in SaroorNagar Lake to destroy evidence.
Police traced and arrested the accused during the investigation. They also seized the auto rickshaw allegedly used by him, blood stained clothes, and a mobile phone.
Saidabad Police Recover Murder Weapon
With assistance from the HYDRA Disaster Response Force, police recovered the alleged murder weapon from Saroor Nagar Lake. The recovery helped investigators gather further evidence in the case.
Police registered a case under Cr. No. 258/2026 under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Saidabad Police Station.
Following his arrest, police produced the accused before the court. The court ordered judicial remand, police said.
The operation took place under the supervision of Khare Kiran Prabhakar, DCP, Charminar Zone, with support from senior officers of the Charminar Zone and Saidabad Division.
Police said the investigation is continuing to establish the complete circumstances surrounding the murder. (Maxim News)
