Hyderabad, Sept.19 (Maxim News): Congress MLC T. Jeevan Reddy on Thursday alleged that the Kaleswaram Lift irrigation project was being wasted due to lack of attention of the rulers of the state. He said that the objective of the project was not being served in the state. He reiterated his allegation that not a single drop of water was released from the Kaleswaram project while noting that 15 tmc of water was released by the authorities from yellampally project. He said the state has only 20 tmc of water after including 2 tmc each water of mid manair and LMD projects.
Commenting on the successful run of the 6th pump set of Kaleswaram lift irrigation project, he said that there was no use with the 6th pump set. He alleged that the state government was behaving irresponsibly in the name of the Kaleswaram project. He alleged that the kaleswaram project was meant for commissions from the contractors. He demanded the state government to cancel all the works given on nomination basis. (Maxim News)
