Ramana Resents CM’s Comments On RTC Strike

Hyderabad, Oct.25 (Maxim News): Telangana TDP president L Ramana today criticized Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for his comments on RTC strike, political parties and employees unions.

Talking to mediapersons here on Friday, Ramana slammed the Chief Minister for not reacting to prevailing health problems like dengue and spread of viral fevers in the State. Though the High Court sought steps to end the RTC strike, the Chief Minister remained calm disrespecting the courts, he alleged. He also took exception to the State government’s failure in not calling unions for talks on the RTC strike, he fumed. In spite of court directions, the Chief Minister remained adamant on the RTC strike and threatening to privatize the RTC against the interests of the workers, he deplored.

Demanding that the State government release a white paper on the RTC, he sought all-party meeting on the strike. How can a chief minister talk of business and losses in the RTC during strike, he wondered. The government should invite the RTC workers unions for talks, he said, adding that it was time for talks to end the strike and restore all bus services for students and people to avoid further inconvenience he added.
