Jagadish Meet Gadkari To Release Of Pending Funds To Complete Highways
Hyderabad, Dec.3 (Maxim News): Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy today urged the Centre to release pending funds for completion of national highways in the State. Along with a team of TRS MPs, including Nama Nageshwar Rao and others, the minister met with Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi and submitted a wish list to release funds for the highways in the State.
Speaking to the media at Parliament House later, Jagadish Reddy said he discussed with Gadkari for allotment of funds to complete 680 out of 3,150 highways sanctioned. “We sought funds for repair of several roads ruined in recent rains”, he said. He also said he appealed for two bypasses each one at Bhupalapally, Warangal highway under Aleru Assembly segment and new roads in Miryalguda area to connect other villages in the district.
Nageshwar Rao said they submitted a memorandum of road works given by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to Gadkari. “We also urged Gadkari for construction of a regional ring road in Hyderabad”, he added. (Maxim News)
