Hyderabad, Dec.16 (Maxim News): Minister for Women & Child Welfare Satyavathi Rathod and Health Minister Eatala Rajender today inaugurated Balamrutham Plus – nutritious food for children at National Institute of Nutrition here.
Speaking on the occasion, the ministers claimed that the State government was giving priority for welfare of the women and children. They appealed to the officials concerned to reach out to the women and children with new nutritious food and ensure the food reaches them on time and remaining healthy. “The TRS Government increased number of eggs from 15 to 30 and offering 200 ml milk per head. Our aim is to ensure health of both mother and children”, they said.
Stating that Nutritious food was being supplied through Anganwadi centers, they asked the officials to give Balamrutham Plus to the beneficiaries. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was offering needed funds for the health and women welfare, they said. Unlike any other State, the Telangana government was implementing welfare schemes and the credit goes to Chief Minister KCR’s Kits program with more institutional deliveries.
The women get Rs 12,000 on delivery and health kits for their welfare, they said, adding that Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak schemes are the best in the country. Though the Centre decreased the funds for women and children welfare, the KCR Government has offered adequate funds, they added. (Maxim News)
