Jagan Plans Three Capitals for AP
Amaravati, Dec.17 (Maxim News): AP chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday said that his government was planning to set up three capitals for the state. He said that their idea was to set up legislature capital at Amaravati, the judicial capital at Kurnool and the executive capital at Visakhapatnam.
He made the statement while speaking in the State assembly. Jagan said that similar capitals are already in existence in South Africa. He said that the main objective behind the idea is to ensure all round development of all the districts of the state. The Chief Minister said that they were waiting for the report of the expert committee and added that the committee would submit its report in a week’s time. He said that the state government would take a decision on the issue after the submission of the report.(Maxim News)
