Coronavirus: Telangana Records 213 New cases, 4 Deaths

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 213 new cases of Covid-19 infections and four fatalities, taking the total number of infections in the state to 5406 and death toll to 191, according to the health bulletin on Tuesday. The Health authorities also discharged 261 patients in the last 24 hours, taking the total number recoveries in Telangana State to 3027.

Out of the 213 positive Covid-19 infections, 165 positive cases were from areas under GHMC, 16 persons tested positive from Rangareddy, 13 from Medak district, six from Karimnagar, three from Medchal, two each from Nizamabad and Sangareddy and one positive case each from Yadadri, Siddipet, Peddapalli, Asifabad, Kamareddy and Jangaon.

Health authorities said that 1251 samples were tested on Tuesday out of which 213 samples were positive while 1038 samples were negative. Overall, since the outbreak of the pandemic, Telangana has tested 44, 431 samples out of which 5, 406 samples came positive and 39, 025 samples were negative. As on Tuesday, the number of active Covid-19 positive cases is at 2188 in the Telangana State.
